RSS is a simple data format used to send news feeds to subscribers to a website.  This format allows to distribute content without the need for a browser, using software designed to read these RSS feeds (aggregator).However, it is possible to use the same browser to view RSS feeds.The latest versions of the main browsers allow you to read RSS feeds without the need for additional software.

Thanks to the aggregators or feed readers (programmes or sites that allow you to read website sources), you can receive news feeds from all the websites you wish on your desktop operating system, email programmes or through web applications that function as aggregators.

You do not need to open your web browser and visit lots of websites.
